Quality in Graphics: NetBeans IDE
The diagrams presented on this page show the overall bug statistics and trends
for the standard distribution of the NetBeans IDE. Only issues filed against
modules included in the stable releases are taken into account.
Defects and enhancements in experimental modules are ignored.
Note: Most of the diagrams work with the "open" issues only. An "open"
issue is the one whose resolution field in Issuezilla is set to one of the
following values: NEW, STARTED, or REOPENED.
All charts in this page were created using
JFreeChart .
Open Defects (Daily Chart)
The total number of open defects is displayed in this chart.
Weekly Delta Chart
The following chart shows weekly increments on NEW (red), RESOLVED (blue) and
FIXED (green) defects.
NEW defects are the ones that were created during the week.
RESOLVED defects are those that had their resolution status changed to the value 'RESOLVED' in the same period.
FIXED defects are typically a subset of the RESOLVED ones. The difference is that the resolution flag must be set to 'FIXED'.
- FIXED can be considered to be the "real" fixes (i.e. no duplicates or invalid bug reports).
Daily Delta Chart
This is a variant of the previous chart. Instead of the weekly sampling period,
the values in this chart are updated daily.
Priority Distributions (Daily Charts)
The following two diagrams show the distribution of open defects (left) and
enhancements (right) among the priority levels. P1 means a showstopper or
highly important issue, P5 means a minor problem.
Bugs Distribution (Daily Chart)
This pie graph shows the distribution of bugs among most 'buggy' modules.
